Patanjali Herbal Research Division works on documentation, analysis, designing and project executions of different themes in the alignment of aims and scope of Patanjali institutions. Around 150 well trained scientists with different expertise in Botany, Taxonomy, Microbiology, Biotechnology, etc. Work together on several academic research projects related to plant- based medicine, yoga and any such related field towards conducting extensive research for scientific and empirical evidence in support of therapeutic effects of selected areas. Several research and review articles are published in journals of national as well as international repute having a global visibility for Yoga and Ayurveda with supportive and authenticated data. This division aims to develop systematized and validated research work that shall be highly useful for scientists, researchers and industry experts engaged in the work related to research, development and promotion of Yoga and Ayurveda.

Job Profile for Subject Matter Specialist (Agronomy)

The Subject Matter Specialist (Agronomy) is responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on agronomic practices to improve crop production and management. They conduct research, develop new techniques, and provide training and support to farmers, extension workers, and other stakeholders in the agriculture sector.

Qualification & Experience:
  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Agronomy or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in agronomy or crop science.
  • Strong knowledge of agronomic practices and crop management techniques.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in computer applications related to agronomy and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:

Scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following:

  • Implementing and evaluating different agronomic practices to enhance crop yield and quality.
  • Conducting field trials and research to develop innovative agronomic solutions.
  • Collaborating with other team members to develop and implement crop management strategies.
  • Developing agri-models based on various agronomic practices to improve crop productivity.
  • Providing technical support and training to farmers and extension workers on agronomic practices.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest developments in agronomy and incorporating them into the organization's practices.
  • Writing reports, research papers and articles on agronomy-related topics.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in agricultural research or extension.
  • Strong publication record in the field of agriculture.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis software.
  • Familiarity with sustainable agriculture practices.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment.
Additional Requirements:
  • Willingness to travel to rural areas for fieldwork and training programs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as per project requirements.
